New Funding Opportunity : 2016 Middle East and North Africa Biorisk Management Enhancement Grant (BMEG) Competition.

Dear Colleagues, CRDF Global is pleased to announce the Middle East and North Africa Biorisk Management Enhancement Grant (BMEG) Competition. The goal of the competition is to provide financial assistance towards biosecurity and biosafety improvements, such as laboratory physical security and/or equipment upgrades, improvement of laboratory management practices, personnel reliability, workshops and trainings, innovative biorisk management activities targeting new audiences, and collaboration with new sectors. Applications must demonstrate adherence to sustainability and international biosecurity and biosafety frameworks.
WHO: Institutions and laboratory facilities, including veterinary and public health labs, diagnostic laboratories, research institutions, universities, hospitals, and governmental agencies are encouraged to apply.
The competition is open to applicants in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey.
Budget: Finalists will be contacted and potentially awarded a grant of up to $10,000 for a maximum of a three-month contract.
